Part-time,
Contract Only. Responsibility for all aspects of technical production for Smart-Traveler.Com, Inc. websites.
This includes
building and supporting pages that meet business
needs, creating pages that make effective use of data,
creating
tools to manage data and working with design to
carry out architecture and design in pages.
A critical
part of the job is managing the team that does the
actual work. This job is best suited for someone with deep
technical
knowledge.
Responsibilities include:
·
Develop & author System Requirements Documents.
·
Develop & author System Design Documents.
·
Managing all technical aspects of all promotions and projects on the site.
· Managing
daily updates to site.
· Managing emergency site updates such as traveler alerts, AMBER
Alerts and maintaining 24-hour-a-day support for
such updates.
·
Managing QA function for all new work and updates.
·
Representing the technical group in large projects such as site redesigns.
· Taking
the lead in determining new systems and software
to create efficiencies within group.
Qualifications & Requirements:
·
At least five years experience managing a production team.
·
Applicable college degree such as Computer Science or related experience.
·
Ability to juggle multiple projects at one time.
·
Ability to work with and report out to multiple stakeholders.
·
Confidence in speaking with highly technical leads in other groups at Smart-Traveler and representing the best
interests of this group.
·
Competent in MS Systems, Linix, XML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript and .NET
·
Experience in web development, web publishing and web design development.
·
Must demonstrate expert level knowledge of databases such as MS Access, MS SQL and MySQL.
·
Project and program management experience
·
Knowledge of Flash design and development.
·
Skilled at Dreamweaver, Homesite, Visio, Photoshop, Powerpoint, XMLspy, & other publishing tools.
